Amie Kavanagh – Dip Dental Hygiene Brist 2011
Amie joined Scott Arms Dental Practice in 2007, where she rapidly excelled in Dental Nursing and Dental Radiography.
In 2011 Amie qualified as a Dental Hygienist from the University of Bristol. She has a fantastic approach to patient care and her patients enjoy seeing her on a regular basis.
She has special interest in treating patients with periodontal disease (gum disease), dental implants and helping nervous patients.
Amie is always keen to further her knowledge and skills, she is currently attending Bristol University two days a week and will qualify in March 2015 as a Dental Therapist. She will then be able to offer additional treatments, including fillings.
Amie is a very enthusiastic and motivated hygienist. She listens to her patients and always shows empathy. Amie helps her patients to smile more by removing stains and gives great advice to make brushing and flossing easy!
In her spare time Amie enjoys participating in running and triathlon events. She has swam in the Thames, cycled from London to Paris and is now raising money for a 12 day dental volunteering trip to Cambodia with Dentaid. The trip requires her to dedicate her time and skills to helping disadvantaged children and prevent them from toothache.
