Sometimes dentures stop fitting your mouth as well as they did when they were first made. The most common cause of this is that your jawbone levels have changed and developed over time due to the lack of teeth.
At Scott Arms Dental Practice we are able to offer denture relines as a short-term solution to this problem. This is something we are able to do chair-side on the same day you ring up as we operate as an emergency clinic 365 days a year.
If you have broken your denture, we will always be able to see you on the same day as part of our emergency service to help in whatever way we can. In some situations broken dentures can be repaired there and then by one of our dentists. However, if your denture has broken to the extent that we cannot repair it ourselves, we will send it away to our laboratory where we can aim to give you a one-day turnaround so you wont be without your denture for more than 24 hours.
If you already have a comfortable partial denture but are discussing the possibility of some tooth extractions, we are able to simply add more teeth onto it in the places where they are being extracted. This option is generally only possible for acrylic or high-impact acrylic dentures as adding to cobalt chrome dentures can be difficult.
If you are unhappy wearing dentures consider having dental implants. Dental implants can
also stabilise loose dentures. Please call now for your free dental implant assessment.
