Dr Nayan Patel
BDS University of Birmingham 2018
Nayan qualified from the University of Birmingham and during his foundation training year, he was highly commended by the Faculty of General Dental Practice (FGDP) for “Foundation Dentist Of The Year”. He has continued to persevere with his postgraduate education to expand upon his clinical skills and knowledge.
He has completed his membership exams to the Faculty of Dental Surgery at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and is currently enrolled on a diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry. Through doing these, he hopes to carry out more complex and cosmetic procedures on his patients. He has recently completed a year of core training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust, where he gained experience with treating medically compromised patients, carried out oral surgery procedures and had exposure to major head and neck trauma and cancer cases.
Nayan is a caring, enthusiastic and well driven dentist, who will do as much as he can to keep his patients comfortable throughout their dental journey. He puts his patient’s interest first and enjoys spending time with them to ensure he does what is best for them. He treats patients of all ages, and is experienced with all aspects of general dentistry.
Nayan understands dental treatment can be daunting, especially when you’ve had a previous bad experience. He wants to try and help his patients overcome the fear of the dentist and would love to see you and provide the best clinical care he can. He understands appointment times can be difficult to fit in and will try his best to accommodate for you, whether it be in the evenings or on a weekend.
Away from work, Nayan is a big follower of football and supports Arsenal. He is a keen sportsman who enjoys playing football, cricket and tries to go skiing once a year. He loves to travel and is trying to conquer all the wonders of the world.
