David Taylor-Pirie – BDS (Hons)
David graduated with honours from Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2013. During his degree he was awarded prizes for outstanding achievement in Periodontology (gum disease), pharmacology, therapeutics and knowledge of general medicine and surgery. He enjoys every aspect of dentistry, but particularly enjoys guiding patients through long courses of treatment often including implants or cosmetically driven crowns or bridges.
For David, effective communication is paramount. David firmly believes that clearly talking patients through all of their treatment options and taking time to ensure that all their questions are answered is key to successful outcomes and a good dentist-patient relationship. David is currently completing further training with the International Team for Implantology to improve his skills in using dental implants to replace missing teeth. He also provides intravenous sedation to help anxious patients through their treatment.
David is also a keen Lindy Hop dancer recently performing at the Birmingham International Dance Festival and Birmingham Swing Festival.
