Dr. Dara Cotton BDS (Hons) (B’ham) MFDS RCPS (Glasg)
Dara graduated from Birmingham School of Dentistry with Honours and academic prizes for her achievements in pharmacology and pathology. She has achieved her Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MFDS) and is currently studying for her Diploma in Implant Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons in London; this gives her extended experience in the latest techniques in implantology, bone grafts and sinus augmentations across the UK and Europe, including Italy, Germany and Spain. She enjoys partaking in implant and general dentistry across the globe and has attended lectures, study tours and conferences in many countries around the world, including Brazil, Dubai, Argentina and Switzerland.
She is a kind and ethical dentist who thrives at Scott Arms Dental Practice where she loves to get to know her patients, fully explaining treatment options and calming any nerves. Dara is Dental Phobia Certified and trained in intravenous sedation, which she performs regularly for anxious patients who wish to undergo dental work such as extractions, grafting and implant surgery.
Outside of work, Dara is a dedicated animal lover with many pets. She is passionate about oenology and the study of viniculture and has tutored with the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. She enjoys being creative through piano, singing and painting and is an advocate of healthy living, with hobbies including Ashtanga Yoga, meditation and cooking.
