Devan qualified from Birmingham University in 2014 with Honours and a Distinction in Clinical Dentistry. He was awarded the prestigious Carlton Gold Medal for the most outstanding student in his year as well as over 10 other prizes across different dental specialities.
Following graduation, he continued to pursue his passion for patient care and gold-standard dentistry in the West Midlands, winning awards for Best Foundation Dentist, Best Clinical Case and Best Clinical Audit. He then spent a year in London working in oral and maxillofacial surgery where he advanced his surgical skills.
He has completed the four-year speciality training pathway at King’s College London graduating with a Master in Clinical Dentistry with Distinction and is a registered specialist in periodontics. He is the Chair of the Early Career Group of the British Society of Periodontology with a seat on the main council.
He publishes articles regularly in peer-reviewed journals including the British Dental Journal and Dental Update and is an active member of the British Society of Periodontology. He attends conferences globally to ensure his patients receive the most advanced and up to date care.
Devan currently runs clinical sessions dedicated to managing all forms of gum disease, working alongside a team of general dentists, hygienists and specialists.
